Dude. If I’d been in Japan right now, I might have been at Mt. Ontake on a Saturday afternoon.
It was definitely on my list of things to do. Last time I decided to settle for Kiso Valley and the Nakasendo trail instead, which is only 20-ish miles? from Ontake.
